Call for abstracts
The Organising Committee welcomes abstract submissions for posters and 10-minute oral presentations. Abstracts are invited on works of innovative practice or practical research on the following topics with an Eating Disorder or Body Image theme:
Understanding and/or addressing the challenges of caring for someone with an eating disorder.
Prevention initiatives, including those addressing suicide risk.
Collaborative care.
New approaches to old challenges.
Enhancing services.
Work on other topics will be considered if they have particular practical merit.
Authors will be advised by email of the outcome of their abstract submission. Please read the Abstract Submission Guidelines carefully before submitting your abstract.
Abstract Submission Guidelines
Please submit an approximately 200 word abstract summary. If accepted, this abstract will appear in the Conference program and post-conference electronic proceedings for distribution to registrants by email &/or on the web.
The Abstract is central to your proposal and must provide a succinct overview of your poster or oral presentation.
Please assure all the following points before submitting an abstract:
All authors are aware that their name will appear on the abstract and poster and all authors agree to the submission and presentation.
I understand that if this abstract is accepted, Eating Disorders: Meeting the Challenge Sydney Conference will hold the copyright.
I also understand that my poster (and/or slide presentation) may be photographed, videotaped and/or recorded via other media during presentation, and this may be reproduced on the web or CD.
I also understand that my complete poster and abstract will be presented under the CEDD/conference website in electronic form.
I understand that I and my co-author(s) must have clarified all copyright issues before submission.
Please incorporate the following guidelines in your abstract submission:
At the top of the page, bold and centre the proposal title
Bold all names who will serve as presenters for this project.
Provide the names of all others who contributed to the project.
Define all abbreviations and concepts in your abstract at first use.
State whether the submission is for an Oral Presentation, Poster or either. Note that there will only be a limitted number of submissions accepted.
