NEW DAYPROGRAMS

Central Coast Eating Disorder Day Program

  • A free multidisciplinary treatment, 3 days per week for a minimum of 6 weeks.
  • Assessments offered for people who are either
    • At risk of developing an eating disorder
    • In the early stages of an eating disorder
    • Have a long standing eating disorder
    • Relapsing with a return of an eating disorder

RPA Day Program

  • The new Program will be operating from a lovely terrace house in Glebe 4 days per week and is taking referrals for people 18 and over who live anywhere in NSW.
  • The Program involves individual case management and social support, daily group therapy and 2 meals & 2 snacks per day within a supported environment.
  • Support from a multidisciplinary team (clinical psychologist, dietitian, OT, nurse, & psychiatrist)
  • Assistance with discharge planning and strengthening community supports

BOOK RELEASE: "It Will Get Better; Finding Your Way Through Teen Issues", by Melinda Hutchings is aimed at helping teens face and overcome issues affecting them today, including eating issues, cyberbullying, etc.


EVENT IN MELBOURNE

Professor Susan Paxton and Dr. Samantha Thomas will present key note presentations at our 'Keeping the Fire Burning' event on the evening of Thursday, 21st of October 2010, 7.30-9.45pm.
 
Featuring a keynote presentation by Professor Susan Paxton, Head of School, Psychological Sciences, LaTrobe University.
Body Image and Eating Disorders - early intervention in adolescents, young adults and adults in midlife.
 
Featuring a keynote presentation by Dr. Samantha Thomas, Senior Research Fellow, and Head of the Consumer Health Research Group (CHaRGe) at Monash Unversity.

People over their most healthy weight have their say!

This event will be held at the Treacy Centre in Parkville. $55 includes a night of fabulous speakers, Q & A panel discussion with Professor Susan Paxton, Dr. Samantha Thomas and Dr. Rick Kausman, the opportunity to mingle with like-minded people and a light supper. Registration is at 7pm. Everybody is welcome. Please tell your colleagues and friends if you think they would be interested in attending.
